Program Overview

This advanced course is designed to train students in the harder-to-understand, difficult dictation with emphasis on speed, accuracy, and formatting of reports. A Certificate in Advanced Medical Transcription will verify that you have been formally trained to complete complex reports within major medical specialties.

Students must have earned their career diploma in Medical Transcription or completed the Medical Transcription Certificate program before enrolling in this course.

Computer specifications:
You will need access to a Microsoft® Windows®-based computer to complete this program. The Continuing Education Center recommends the following as minimum specifications: Pentium® II or better processor, using Microsoft® Windows® XP or later. You will also need to have access to the Internet, an email account, and Microsoft® Office 2007 to complete portions of this program.

 

A High School Diploma or GED is required to enroll in this program.
