All your learning materials and supplies will be shipped directly to you within one week of your registration.

Taking Exams »

At the end of each lesson, you take an exam. You can complete your exam online through the Continuing Education Center website. You can also submit your examinations by mail. As soon as you pass your exam, you can go on to the next lesson. New course material will follow as you complete your exams, so that you will always have books and learning materials to continue moving forward.
Your examinations and projects will be graded on the following scale:

Lesson Grade (%) Letter Equivalent Rating
92-100 A Excellent
81-91 B Good
75-80 C Average
70-74 D Passing
Below 70 F Failing

An overall program average of 70%, or above, is required to graduate and earn your diploma or certificate.

Frequently Asked Questions »

Q. When do classes start?

A. Enroll now and start immediately! We have an Open Enrollment Policy which allows you to begin your studies anytime!

Q. How long will it take to complete my training?

A. It's up to you. You set your own pace...complete your training as quickly or as slowly as you like. Many of our programs can be completed in less than a year if you study just an hour a day. The maximum time you have to complete a Diploma Program is one and a half years. Students completing Certificate programs are allowed up to one year.

Q. Do I need any previous experience?

A. Most programs are designed so even beginners with no experience can get off to a fast start toward an exciting new career. As long as you can read and write, and have average intelligence, you should be able to complete your training without any difficulty. However, some programs require that you have a High School Diploma or GED to enroll. This prerequisite is noted in the individual program descriptions where applicable.

Q. I have been out of school for a long time. Will I have trouble?

A. You shouldn't. Our training is unlike attending classes at other schools. You proceed at your own, individual pace, learning at the most comfortable speed. Lessons are easy to understand, and contain plenty of pictures and diagrams to illustrate important points.

Q. Do I need to buy any extra books or supplies?

A. You don't need anything extra to get started - just a pen and paper and the willingness to learn. All programs comprise the learning materials you need to complete your training and are included in the one low tuition price you pay. However, in the programs that include computer training, you will need to have access to a computer (see individual program descriptions for system requirements).
